GO Commercial is a general real estate brokerage in all commercial assets classes to include land sales & entitlements, sales & leasing of freestanding buildings, tenant and landlord representation, project leasing, commercial developments, & investment sales. We also do single tenant build to suits, develop select multi-tenant properties, curb-high residential land developments, STNL investments and re-developments of existing assets. We love to re-purpose “Transitional Properties” from their original use to current market relevance.
Michael attended The University of North Texas in Denton and received a BBA in Business Administration. Majored in Real Estate. Minored in Law. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas and a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR). Michael enjoys writing, football, fishing and Sinatra singing. He and his wife Penny have 3 children Austin, Tanner and Ellysa. The Carter’s are renovating a Victorian estate home in Michael’s hometown of Denton, Texas for their three (3) dogs Captain – Brittany Spaniel, Coco – Labrador Retriever, & Hazel – Great Dane.
Over his career, Mr. Carter has worked with Dallas area and national commercial real estate firms such as Marcus & Millichap, Regency Centers, United Commercial Realty/Chain Links, The Weitzman Group and Hopkins-Shafer. His areas of expertise include commercial asset acquisition & investment sales, retail development, land assemblage, project leasing and brokerage sales force operations. Mr. Carter has closed transactions with notable clients such as Target, Kohl’s, Safeway, CVS Drugs, Commercial Net Lease REIT, GSA (the real estate department of the Federal government), Dividend Capital Total Realty Trust and JDL Castle Corporation.
Brian Heitzman is an Associate Broker with GO Commercial.
Brian is a native Texan growing up on a farm in Tioga, Grayson County. At an early age he learned the importance of responsibility, commitment and hard work that has instilled the can-do attitude that continues to serve him well throughout his career.
Brian has over 35 years of experience in commercial real estate specializing in site selection, store design, development and planning in the shopping center industry throughout the United States from both the Landlord and Tenant’s perspective.
Brian previously worked for Brixmor Properties, one of the largest owners of community and neighborhood shopping centers in the United States. He managed all facets of leasing in twelve shopping centers consisting of more than two million square feet in the Dallas Fort Worth Area. He coordinated and completed over 815,000 square feet of new leases and lease renewal transactions in his five years there. He worked with legal, property management and tenants to maximize efficiency, annual minimum rent and net operating income. Brian also worked closely with the construction department to design and build retail tenant spaces making sure that all code compliance was met, and the spaces were delivered on time and within budget.
Brian is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas. He graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Real Estate. He is highly active in his church, school district and city where he serves as chairman on the city’s Planning and Zoning commission. He and his wife, Cheryl have two children Nathan and Brianna.
Throughout his career, Brian has also worked for several national and international retailers such as Clothestime, Payless Shoe and Sally Beauty Company. His duties at all companies included site selection, development and lease negotiations as well as growing store counts and store relocations in most all major markets across the United States. In his fourteen years at Sally Beauty, he opened more than 650 stores totaling over one million square feet.

Brownie was born and raised locally here in Denton, Texas. He attended Woodrow Wilson Elementary, Strickland Middle School, and Ryan High School, where he became the president of his graduating class. Raised by a local business owner and home & building inspector, Brownie has been exposed to real estate industry from a young age. Upon graduation from Texas A&M University, Brownie worked for over one year at a well-known brokerage in Denton, TX. Brownie’s business-oriented education, as well as exposure to the industry have made him well-versed in contracts, negotiations, and navigation through any real estate transaction.
Brownie is known for creating meaningful relationships, and keeping his word. At Texas A&M University, Brownie studied Industrial Distribution and business, where he was exposed to master-level negotiating and sales courses, as well as technical calculus and physics courses. Brownie understands that real estate development takes problem solving, and he has proven to be capable of solving any problem that comes his way.
After graduating President of his Class at Billy Ryan High School, Brownie attended Texas A&M University’s School of Engineering, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Industrial Distribution, and a minor in Business. At Texas A&M, he was involved in several on-campus organizations, while maintaining part-time and full-time internships throughout the entirety his 4 years in College Station. Brownie has been a licensed real estate agent in the State of Texas since he graduated from Texas A&M.
Mike is an Associate at GO Commercial
Mike was born and raised in the Denton community. He is the 4th generation of his family in Denton, county, with a large extended family presents here continued by his 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren. He graduated from Denton High School in 1986 and moved on to the University of North Texas. He completed his degree in business with a minor in communications. Mike has spent much of his career in the restaurant industry working early on as an owner/operator with Sonic followed by long stints with Brinker International and YUM Brands inc. His most recent endeavor was operating the North Texas Region of Food For Good, a non-profit arm of PepsiCo that focuses on feeding children in communities around the world.
Mike shifted into Real Estate, bringing with him the tools he has used to find solutions to adverse situations and help people navigate through business to arrive at a successful outcome. He is truly excited to be a part of this brokerage and the possibilities it brings to the customers we serve.
